A unique marriage between the English tradition of IPAs, the new American revolution of Imperial IPAs and the classic Belgian way of brewing. Houblon Chouffe, although very much hopped as it is, showcases the unique balance between a very strong IPA and a very special Belgian Tripel exclusively created for this ale (Big malty body, distinct dryness, expressive estery fruitiness). - IBU: 59, Original Gravity: 1092

I understand while many people thing this is an outstanding beer, it’s an interesting interpretation of a popular style. The nose was clearly the hops of an IPA, but with clear notes from a Belgian yeast strain. The head was big and foamy, the color was a cloudy dark yellow. The flavor combined the hopiness of the IPA with the sweet stickinesses of a Tripel. The bitterness in the finish was too much for me. I like what the brewery is doing with this, but it just didn’t do it for me.

White frothy head with good retention. Clear bright yellow. Floral and fruity aroma, not as Belgian as Iexpected. Taste is citrus, bitter, malty and fri uit, balanced, but less hopped than I expected. Very nice beer, but light to be a Triple and an IPA.

Draft at Winking Lizard in Cleveland. Sweet and tasty, this is a fine example of superior brewing.

Bottle looks simple but really good. Beer in the glass zippy, nice head. Starts strong, hoppy, grasy, more and more spicy, not as strong as exspected. Hoppy notes more and more fruity, like lemon, modest sour. Finish still strong, well balanced, hoppy-fruity, bitter background. Quite drinkable for its strength. Nice!

Golden colour with huge head. Nose fruity, some abricots. Taste hoppy (of course...) nicely balanced with malty sweetness.Best IPA to be found in standard supermarkets in Luxembourg

Kolor: z?ocisty, lekko pomara?czowy, klarowny. Piana bia?a, ?rednio p?cherzykowa.
