9th July 2008. BBE date of April 2007! More like a porter to me. Slightly toasty and a little sour. Zero carbonation but drinkable.

Cask at GBBF08. Almost black colour. The flavours starts OK roasted, turns fruity. Seems to have a little hopbite, even though there is not much hop flavour

Cask at GBBF 08. Black with dark brown edges and a thin beige head. Looked in good nick. Choc and a bit tarry. Bit powdery in mouth. Pretty tasty, some dry malt, hey, a good, English stout. Good, tasty. Easy drinking.

Cask@GBBF2008. Deep ambery brown colour, mediumsized beige head. Aroma is coffee, roasted malts and some mild sweet notes. Flavour is roasted malts, dark fruits, caramel and smoked wood. Dry palate and rather sweet end.

A Mes rate: 50cl bottle at Laneys. Black red colour with a ring of bubbles. Malty and wheaty aroma with some fishy notes. Mellow stouty flavour that has nothing really to get excited about. Some nice coffee notes though. Very thin in the palate for a stout. Bit of a let down.

Organic beer, it gives the impression of being very nasty, which most of times is, but this was good, not so watery, and nice taste, black colour with some golden features, I like this good beer.
