Pour on tap at Town Hall, clear golden pour with thin to no head, aroma brought notes of creamy fruit, apple, some slight bready notes into a bit of earth, some spice notes with more apple skins. Taste was a mix of grass, bread, some earth into some creamy vanilla, apple comes through with some sweetness, finishing slightly sweet.

Bottle. Hazy golden color, champagne bubbles. Nice aroma of barnyard funk and apple skins. Taste is tarty, peppery apple. Tasty.

Draft sample. Poured hazy dark amber color with a minimal white head that diminished slowly with good legs. Moderate aroma of sweet apple. Medium body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Medium floral apple flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. My expectations were met

Draft at Dutch’s. Pours a hazy yellow color with no head. The aroma and flavor have sweet apples, mildly tart apples, apple skin, floral notes, a soapy feel, a bit better than I expected.

Draft at Dutch’s, served in a snifter. Good thing a couple others already rated this from here because searching "pays d’auge" brings up way more than I anticipated it would. Pours a lightly hazed gold with a small, barely off-white head. Notes of mild, sweet apples - not really tart at all - with a Sprite-like soda sweetness, florals, and light musty funk. Medium-bodied, with a smooth, sweet, barely funky mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. Good sipping cider.

Draft to taster at Dutch’s. Looks solid; a mostly transparent gold with very thin white head that quickly dissipates entirely. Smells solid; good apples with a well-balanced touch of sweetness. Tastes like it smells with a solid mouthfeel and a touch of tartness. A good cider, especially for not being dry.

On tap at Dutch’s... 1st pour from the keg. Totally hazy orange color. Pours with a big off-white head, that quickly fades to nothing. Cool bright sweet yellow apple in the nose. Something funny and floral about the taste, but it’s pretty pleasant overall. Medium-plus body. Smooth, lightly soft, lighter carbonation. More dry finish. Nice vanilla notes, apple skin, light mustiness. Moderate sweet taste, nice light bit of tart. Great, refreshing cider! I enjoyed it much more than I expected to, more my style.

Tap. Very slightly hazy light gold pour with a small head. Apples but not very tart at all. Soft on the palate. Light funk. Decent cider.

Bottle from Whole Foods Bowery. Sat quietly in a spare wine shipper till I dropped my keys & went looking. Sort of like finding a $20 bill in a pair of old jeans, or finding a number on a toilet stall that you recognize. Bottle is at this point close to 2 years old.

Ommegang anniversary glass. Violent cork shoots off with just an unhinging of the wire. Decent gusher too. Glass is ready though, & we clean up nice without much lost. Crazy active streams shoot up & sizzle on the surface. A tall & thin, foam develops, faltering & rising a quarter as tall with every stir of the glass. Honey orange body that is not quite clear, like wearing UV shades.
Smell is a mild grassy funk & bittersweet browned apples. Faint ammonia. Flinty. Dried apples. Mud. Wets my appetite.
Taste is all about sweet, slightly tart, browned apples & a sturdy, bitter leafy/salad/herbal note. Then there’s a good bit of calcium & skin, finishing with something nutty, leaving significant dry mouth.
Suds are strong, prickly, but not quite sizzling. Moderate acidity. Starchy body. Dry finish leaves me with the munchies.

I ditched the stemware after the first glass. French scrumpy. This deserves to be drunk out of a jar. :)

This has been sitting in my cellar for a few years. Pops a brilliant yellow with a lot of very fine white bubbles.musty scent with a hint of Apple underneath.if this were a wine is send it back as possibly corked.in the mouth the fine carbonation is prominent, the taste is slightly sweet applewith not a lot going on.enjoying it by itself, difficult to imagine good would change it much, although I’m kind of tempted to try it with buttered popcorn.an uncomplicated cider.
