bardzo dobry cydr wytrawny prosto z normandii, piana i wysycenie spore, kolor ciemno zloty, wlasciwie bursztynowy. Bardzo wytrawny w smaku jakby zgnile i porzadne sfermentowane jablka. Bardzo lubie taki cydr bez cienia slodyczy i pelnej wytrawnosci. Na uwage zasluguje elegancka papierowa etykieta niczym z drogich francuskich win.

Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Small head with short duration. Color is golden. Aroma and taste are sweet apples, citrus, sulphur and has a nice full body. Love good ciders from Normandy.

Pale yellow, almost golden body that is clear and looks rather lively carbonated. Moderate to strong aroma with lots of lovely fermented apples, oak and barnyard notes. Light sweet and light sour taste with a moderate dry finish. Strong flavours, again with fermented apples and oak but also lots of horse blanket. I thought that "horse blanket" was a typical characteristic of a wild ale, but this one is definitely horsey to me. Maybe a bit too much. Or maybe it’s the horse sweat that makes this stand out from the crowd?

"Elaborated in Normandy" **chuckles** $10 bottle from New Beer. Ommegang anniversary glass. Clear, golden, light maple color. Very spritzy. Smells of honey-sweet apples, grass, soggy oak, & a slight touch of pickling. Nice blend of bitter & sweet, leaning sweeter. Lots of wood notes & grassy bitterness. Not all that apple-y. Light to moderate acidity, low tartness. Alcohol isn’t completely in check. Quite carbonated & minerally. Very dry, grain & vanilla finish.

Bottle. Golden colour with a white head. Aroma is oak, apple, apple core. flavour is dry, oak, apple, apple core, acidic. OK Cider.

Pours a deep golden (very deep for a cider) with lots of effervescent champagne like bubbles. The cider also heads up huge and the head virtually disappears in seconds the way that Champagne does.

The aroma is crisp and apple-y with some light mineral character, some white grape, and a nice soft floral note.

The flavor starts fruity with a touch of sweetness but turns dry in quite a hurry. Some mineral flavors are present throughout, when at cellar temp there is a sulfur note mid palate but this fades as it warms even a bit. The apple flavor is lovely, certainly more of a red apple flavor and really the flavor of apple rind is as prevalent if not more so than the the flavor of the apple flesh. The cider finishes dry and fairly clean. Overall the tartness level on the cider is low to moderate and this is perhaps as similar to a dry sparkling wine as I’ve ever tasted in a cider with a bubbly mouthfeel to match. Very good.
