COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A robust American Brown Ale clocking in at 6.4% ABV. This ale is brewed with 18% malted rye for a distinctively spicy finish and dry hopped with a blend of American and New Zealand hops. A complex blend of citrus, pepper, and chocolate that harkens back to the brawling and revelry that occurred in Cincinnati’s Northside neighborhood in the early 19th Century. Hell Town can always use a little Rye-ot to spice things up.

Alright, I had this one poured for me at the new Cincinnati Moerlein Over-The-Rhine brewery opening last week - This is a fine, spicey rye beer, dark mahogany hued and a pleasant grainy kick.

Draft. Poured a dark brown color with an average fizzy off-white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate to heavy toasted rye, sweet malt aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet tingly finish of moderate to long duration. Solid drinkable brew.

Draft - pours dark brown with tan head. Nose is pine. Flavor adds chocolate and light roasted malts. Quite bitter with some sweetness. Should be an Indian Brown Ale, but what do I know? Medium body with plenty of character.
