COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Christian Moerlein Oktoberfest is a traditional Marzen-styled, bottom-fermented lager. This is a little darker and hardier for a season when days turn shorter and nights turn cooler. It is pale copper in color and has a malty aroma and sweetness balanced by hops for a low, clean hop finish. Compare its flavor and quality to any craft or imported Oktoberfest and you will agree that Christian Moerlein Oktoberfest is quite simply a better Oktoberfest beer.

Pours a translucent, light copper with a thin, white head that quickly fades. Aroma is strong of malts with a hint of nut. Light, creamy mouthfeel. Malty sweet, but not overly so. Good, balanced taste, and a fine domestic representative of the style. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for the Daystrom M-5

7oz bottle Old Notes-Pours an amberish brown with a decent head. Aroma of malt, caramel, and hops. Taste of the same. This medium bodied brew was better than I was expecting but I am not a fan of this style.

Got it at a pony keg. Oh man, I enjoyed it. It's not an IPA, so everyone here may not like it as much as I did. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Served from a 12 oz bottle thanks to Craig. The appearance is a deep orange-red with a little hazy clarity. The aromas are toasted German malts and that’s about it. The flavors are the same, fairly simple but pleasant. The mouth is lightly creamy. Overall a decent Marzen.

Aroma of sweet red apples, raisins and brown sugar. Pours a deep brownish red, one of the darker octoberfests I have seen and probably my least favorite

bottle. Dark amber copper body with a decent white head. The aroma is nice and malty, as expected, but with a nice hop quality to boot. Both the flavor and the aroma are pleasantly balanced with a nuttiness that makes it all come together.

A good but average domestic Oktoberfest. Pours a bright amber with a minimal white head. Taste is sweet toasted malt with the slightest hops. Kind of thin, but decent and inoffensive.

Bottle. Pours coppery with a fairly dense head. Smells grainy and sweet corn malty. Some hops present as well. Tastes sweet with the different malts, cereal grains, maybe even nutty, and then some bittering from the decent amount of hops. Long sweet aftertaste. Pretty good.

12 oz. Nice looking copper coloured beer, with a small tan head, leaves nice lacing. Quite good malt driven aromas, caramel, slightly hopped. Nice semi-bitter malts mostly, get almost creamy near the end, then a qyuick finish with an after taste of hops. Ok on the palte, could be a wee bit thicker. Overall not a bad little beer.
