jredmond (573), New Jersey, USA Apr 8, 2008 12 oz bottle. I had this months and months ago, when one my friends brought some to a party. He had worked at Lion Brewery over the summer. It tasted pretty good, but the reason I never rated it was because I wanted to try it again sober. So, I think my rating may be inaccurate. alexsdad06 (535), Ohio, USA Mar 23, 2008 12 oz. bottle. Pours a dark golden/light amber color with a smaller white head. The aroma is mildly sweet malt with a hint of floral hops. The flavor is mostly caramel malts, bread, and the slightest amount of hops present. Decent, but not something I would revisit often. nick76 (1920), Tampa, Florida, USA Mar 15, 2008 The aroma does not set this beer apart from most lagers save the slightly roasted character. It’s mostly malt and grassy hops. The appearance is a dark gold with a small head and some floating particles. The flavor is quite nice. It’s toasted and sweet like toffee but only a little. The finish is mild and bitter. The palate is smooth. As lagers go this one is Yummy! SuperDave70 (577), Arizona, USA Feb 28, 2008 Clear golden pour with minimal head. Sweet caramel and malt aroma. Flavor is similar, with a bitter hoppy finish. Good. Crafty07 (328), Lexington, Kentucky, USA Feb 11, 2008 Cloudy apricot pour with minimal white head, this Munich style lager has the appearance and taste of a zwickle. Smooth and malty with substantially more character than most lagers made in this country.
I find it funny when some reviewers attribute tastes of adjuncts like corn to this lager as this is a true beer brewed according to the Reinheitsgebot.
This means there is nothing in this beer but barley, hops, water and malt.
