COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A classic Munich-helles style lager with the emphasis on complex malt flavors and low hop character - in accordance with the style. Brewed with 2-row pale and Caramel 60 malts and Saaz and Hallertau hops. This was the first American beer to certifiably pass the Bavarian Reinheitsgebot Purity Law of 1516.

Pour is a clear golden with a large white head. Aroma is kinda bland lager wet paper bag. Flavor redeams itself. Some dry malt with a ever so slight grassyness. Ok lager that’s better than BMC.

12 oz. bottle. Clear golden and a small white head. A bit of skunk in the aroma along with a bit of grain and malt. I taste noble hops first and foremost. Soft fruit and mild bitterness follows. Malt after that. It turned a little sour midway and then honey popped up. I am not a big fan of noble hops and think the American varieties are so much tastier. However, this was not horrible at all.

Beer-of-the-month selection, under the name Original Lager. Pale amber pour with an off-color head. Aroma of peaches and light floral. Lightly sour and malty. Slightly better than Bud or Miller, but not by much. Another big disappointment from the beer of the month.

Bottle from beer of the month club. Sour hop smell and little head on the pour. Medium lager type mouthfeel. A pretty standard lager really. Not much better than the macrobrews. ---Rated via my mouth

12 oz bottle. Says it is retired on Ratebeer, though I just got this in a beer-of-the-month shipment; weird. Pours a light yellow color with no head. Smells of malt and water. Tastes like a normal lager, tries to have more flavor/character than a bud light, but doesn’t accomplish this very well; doesn’t go down very well. Don’t like lagers, especially ones that try to call themselves "Craft" beers.

Light golden lager with a decent head. Not a lot of aroma but a crisp taste. Not too bad.

Pours a clear yellow color with some foamy white head. Aroma is light with a bit of yeast and faint hops. Taste is crisp but not a whole lot of flavor, mostly just faint doughy malt with lager yeast esters. Not bad, not great.
