On tap at the brewpub. Pours very dark brown/amber with a tiny off-white head. Aroma of dark bitter chocolate and heavy roasted coffee. Taste is dry, mild and powerful roasty, chocolate and coffee, short end, still a tasty brew, got that moreish taste to it.

24.01.2013. On tap at the brewpub, Christianssand Brygghus. Dark brown, almost black with tan head. Aroma dominated by dark malts with a rich and strong body. There is both coffee and dry bitter chocolate. Very refreshibg beer with good dry bitterness and a rich body with good malty flavors.

On tap @Christianssand Brygghus. Body is dark brown to black. Low creamy light brown head. Faint choco and dark bread in the aroma. Also som roasty and hoppy tones. Taste is on the bitter side of bitter-sweet. Good malt body, featuring caramel, chocolate and a distinct roastiness. Surprisingsly light in body. Balanced malty-bitter ending. [01.12.12]

Very dark brown, thin head.
Nice bittersweet flavour, smoke, liquorice, bread crust. Spot on porter, no need to adjust this, should have a broad appeal.

Black colour with a fine beige head. Coffee and roasted malt aroma. Rich but yet mild flavour. Roasted malt, coffee and chocolate. Good texture and a medium pluss body. More please :-)

On tap @ Christianssand Brygghus. Dark amber body with a small, dense tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate and coffee. Flavor is sweet, roasted malt, chocolate, coffee and decent bitterness. Fine body with a nice roasted and fruity aftertaste. A nice and smooth classic porter.

Pours almost black with a small tan head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, dark chocolate and caramel. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with a long chocolate finish. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

On tap at the brewpub. Nearly black colour with a beige head. Aroma is dust, coffee, roasted malt. Flavour is sweet, dust, coffee, roasted malt, hop, chocolate. Easy drinkable nice beer.

On tap@CB. Pours dark brown with a beige head. Aroma of chocolate, roasted barley, caramel ,malt and some floral notes. Flavor is sweet chocolate and roasted malt and coffee. Medium body, average carbonation. Nice porter.

On tap at the brewpub. It pours a light reddish dark brown body and a small, off-white to beige head. Quite roasted aroma, coffee, some chocolate and some roasted bread. Sweet flavour, yet dry on the palate. Full body, pleasant carbonation, and a fine bitterness towards the end. Roasted malts, coffee and some dark chocolate too in the end. A tasteful, pleasant beer that goes well with a dark chocolate cake. 120906
