24.01.2013. On tap at the brewpub, Christianssand Brygghus. Hazy golden yellow colour with white head. Aroma is sweet with flavours of wheat and summer light floral hops. Bitterness is rather low but there is a lot of flavours from the yeast and the floral aromatic hops. Notes of lemon and koriander. A little out of balance maybe.

On tap @Christianssand Brygghus. A cloudy yellow golden body, under a blond lace. Weak aroma. Faint wheaty with a mellow fruitiness. Light sappy fruit flavor. Soft wheaty malt body. Light in body. Easy drinking, but kind of mellow and undistinct. [01.12.12]

Cloudy yellow. Lazy carboanetion. Lemon aroma, very inviting. I’m not a big fan of this style, but this has a subtle balance between bubble gum, citrus and the appropriate soapy spiciness.

On tap @ the brewpub. Hazy orange body with a small white head. Aroma is light spicy and fruity but quite weak. Missing the typical wit aromas. Light and refreshing in flavor, some fruit and yeast but hardly no spices and not very typical wit. Medium body and moderate in aftertaste. Totally drinkable, quite refreshing, no real faults, but a bit anonymous somewhere between a wit, weissen and blond.

UPDATED: DEC 20, 2012 On tap at the brewpub. A hazy one, yellowish golden in colour, topped by a small, white head. The aroma has orange and wheat, lacking a bit on the spicy scents. Medium to full body, quite effervescent, and a bit sweetish on the palate. As the aroma, the flavour lacks a bit on the spiciness. A tad to sweet too, making me think of a German style weissbier, more than of a wit. Still, it’s a decent beer, easy to drink, and tasteful. Rating: 6-3-6-3-12-3.0. 120906

On tap at the brewpub. It’s an unclear, yellow-golden beer topped by a small, white head that lasts. The aroma has the appropriate level of coriander and lemon, with hints of orange peel, and a pleasant generic fruityness. Some impact from the malts too. The flavor is a bit sweet, but it’s not cloying in any way. Coriander, citrus and some bitterness too. Full to medium body, and nicely carbonated. Lightly bitter finish. Overall, a really fine witbier, making me sure the first batch was just an accident. Not that it was bad, but it wasn’t top notch in any way. 121219
