Clear dark golden with no head a light film forms on the surface.
Nose is dark fruits, toffee, booze, figgy syrup.
Taste comprises toffee, dark fruit, yeast, pear drops, banana, tea leaves, cough sweet medicinal notes.
Full bodied and sweet in the finish.
Too sweet !

25 cL bottle from Beers of Europe, huge head over a dark red beer. Malty, almost meaty aroma. Light roast malt, sweetness. Alright, but dull.

Tap at Iron Horse tap room. Pours. Murky, Muddy, deep ruby. Weaker tan head. Sticky, twizzlers candy nose. Some prune and brown sugar. Taste is sticky, a tad metallic, sugary, dense red sticky malt. Not so bad as the ratings presume.

Draft at Farmers Cabinet. Very dark orange pour with a wet lacey head. Finishes better than it starts. Smells like a musty red ale. Tastes of raisins, dates, prunes and dried strawberries. All with a gentle honey plum caramel finish. Aged vinous quality. Refined. Succulent. Not at all your typical American Christmas style beer.
