rederic (1785), montréal, Quebec, Canada Aug 21, 2007 Cloudy honey gold hue, with a small white head, wet hay nose, with a grainy pale malt note, a flowery hop accent and a faint piney aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a crisp zesty, leafy and grassy hop character, with a cedary, coniferous accent, hint of honeyed pale malt, leading towards a piney hop bitterness finish. Fin (3372), Merton, Oxfordshire, England Aug 19, 2007 Bottle I think that I picked this up from the Dodgy Deli’, Cowely Road, Oxford Pours warm golden with large white head. Aroma hoppy, bit florally. This really tasted smashing and nothing like I’d expected especially for the style. This was a real hit, great hoppy explosion combining with some nice toasted malts a lovely lingering bittereness, quite fruity and very moreish, great beer! Veer (355), Landskrona, Sweden Aug 17, 2007 Aroma: hoppy, fresh, quite bitter and rustic, decent lager. Sweet, lightly malty. Boiled meatballs.
Appearance: semiopaque, warm golden with pale, thick foam.
Flavour: fruity, mango, dough. Nice, dry and exotic flavour. Bitter aftertaste, a vague malty sweetness. The boiled meatballs is a minus.
Palate: slimy, standard fizzy, foamy & creamy. gilvanblight (390), Windsor, Ontario, Canada Aug 15, 2007 Okay, I have to start with saying that a beer that opens itself just has to do down in my ratings. What gall?!? How dare it?!? How can I just move up the metal tab, then go to prepare myself for a rate, when hearing the ’explosion’ from the other room, only to enter and see way more then 10ml spilled. How upsetting is that?!?
On to a ’proper rate’ Golden non-descript pour. Very strong skunky hops scent, perhaps cascade hops? Lots of white bubbly head that faded just slowly enough to be slighly annoying. Would love to rate the taste, but that head won’t fade..... nope still not... nope, still all head... there we go a bit of beer... very hoppy, quite bitter, bit of fruit, mostly, no overwhealming hops, of the bitter kind I don’t like very much. Head still not fading, well yes a bit but stil there, leaving rather nice lacing. Taste still that same bitter hops. I’m sure some hop lover loves this, personaly a bit too tart for my tastes. Thankfully little to no aftertaste. cyrenaica (435), Milton, Ontario, Canada Aug 13, 2007 330ml bottle

I tried this beer on August 12, 2007 after purchasing from my local LCBO outlet. It poured a hazy gold colour with a small head into the glass. The bottle described the beer as ’double-hopped’ but this was not detected in the aroma to any extent. The mouthfeel was medium bodied with mild carbonation. The flavour was slightly hoppy and mild.
Both the appearance and taste of this beer was more reminiscent of wheat beers than a Czech Style Pilsener. iasonas (6), ottawa, Ontario, Canada does not count Aug 12, 2007 Very sharp hop after taste with an appealing aroma and soft copper colour. Bought it just because of the style of the bottle but will buy it again, I can see it going well with bbq’d lamb, or venison. hagisu (42), Ontario, Canada Aug 11, 2007 Very enjoyable "hoppy" lager. For me the flavour was just right...the subtle bitterness of the hops was very enjoyable and the aroma was very floral. mannika (98), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Aug 10, 2007 Pours a slightly cloudy golden colour with very light, lacy head. Aroma is very sprucey, as the "double hopped" beer promises. Flavour is a clean bitterness. Moderate carbonation leaves a clean mouthfeel. Overall a pretty good beer, nothing overly unique though.
