More complex than a lager, with hints of fruits and spices. It was good drinking and I enjoyed it. JesseM (681), Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario, Canada

Pours a nice hazy gold colour with a small head that lasts throughout the whole session. The aroma is hoppy, some malts, a little alcohol, and even some yeast. The flavour is very Pils malty upfront, with some yeast thrown in. Then quickly comes the bitterness from the hops to finish it off The aftertaste is a lingering bitterness from the ample hops, man this one is hoppy when fresh! Very nice brew. | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 11, 2007 Pours hazy gold-orange with a one-finger white head. Juicy, citrusy aroma, with a good deal of grassy hops. Flavor begins sweet and bready, but quickly becomes an intense hoppiness. Grassy, woody, and bitter aftertaste. Easily as hoppily good as some of the best American IPAs. Wiseblood (658), Clarksville, Tennessee, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 15, 2003 Clear gold with a slight yeasty haze. The beer has piney, spicy hop aromas and has more hop than malt flavors. Lots of carbonation gives it a spritzy feeling that is well suited for a hot day. Ends with an assertively bitter finish. One of the better pilsners out there.
