Sample at Borefts Beer Festival 2011. Pours a clear and mahogany beer with a weak offwhite head. The aroma is malt and caramel. The flavor follows the nose with additonal nuts and weak alcohol. The palate is sweetness with notes of bitterness. Overall a good beer.

UPDATED: NOV 20, 2011 (swing top Bottle)Excellent stuff. A drinkable robust bock , if that makes any god damn sense . Nose is nice earthy soy sauce , rich malt caramel accents . So easy to drink ,its a very warming and easy on the palate ,despite this treacly boozy nature. Large sliches of sticky malt.raw booze.toffee .honey . earthy hops ..late dry finish. Good shit.

Christ on a bike! What a beer. Matured for a year and in at 7.8%. Huge malt aroma, smells like a bag of malt. Vinious body, deep and dangerous. However, great balance with plenty of spicy hops. A really serious beer, which needs sipping.

Draught @ Borefts 2011. Ruby color with a beige head. Caramel, nuts, hints of raisins in the aroma. Dense, with low carbonation. Fairly simple one.

Roodbruin bier met lichte kraag. Smaak kruidig, zoet en caramel. Smaak echt winters. Lekker voor tijdens het koken en een maaltijd met paddenstoelen en aardappels.

Bottle. Nice dark brown pour, almost no head. Nice sweet malty aroma. Brown sugar, cinnamon, dark fruits, candi sugar. Taste is pretty sweet, very malty, no hop presence at all, light roasty flavors, rich boozy fruits. Palate is heavy bodied, med-low carbonation.

bottle. Poured an opaque orange-brown with little head. Sweet and sour fruity aroma. Tight carbonation, buttery mouthfeel. Roasted malt flavour, sweet raisin notes. Medium bitterness. Not too complex.

Bottle 33cl, a dark beer with head that goes quickly. Nose is alcoholic and malty. Aroma is malty caramel like, toffee, nice toasted notes, finish is dry with a long toasted malt finish. Easy drinking bock with nice chocolate notes, some spices too on cloves and dry grapes, good beer.
