3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Maklean (7) - Ontario, CANADA - MAR 23, 2011 does not count
Pours a small creamy head, quickly diminishing, a hazy ruby brown no sediment. Aroma: strong malty smokiness, hints of plums and prunes finishing with a soft biscuity aroma. Flavour: beautiful toasty malts with a hint of chocolate with a mild bitter finish. Palate: medium/full thick and creamy with average carbonation, but long lasting taste. Produces mild astringency.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 SlovakSniper (1349) - Candiac, Quebec, CANADA - MAR 14, 2011

Overall : Quite light overall. Quite drinkable. Soft carbonation helps too. Nice fruity sweetness on finish. Quite tasty. Gets a bit too spicy as it warms up. Nice beer.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 thb (484) - Alberta, CANADA - MAR 1, 2011
Pours hazy deep reddish brown. Bit of fine head at first then quickly down to a film. Malt aromas front and centre in this. Straightforward graininess supplemented by a touch of caramel and some fruity notes. In the mouth its malts + alcohol. This makes it sound a little bland, but its really not. Richness + alcohol = tasty.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Boutip (3458) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - FEB 6, 2011
Bottle: Poured a cloudy deep brown color ale with a medium foamy head with medium retention and some lacing. Aroma of heavily caramelized malt with light brown sugar notes. Taste is also dominated by heavy caramel malt with notes of brown sugar and more residual sugar then I had expected. Body is quite full with medium carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Heavier and sweeter then expected though still very enjoyable.
