Bügelverschlußflasche:Deep reddish-amber coloured, hazy, small lacy off-white head; quite solid sweetish-fruity nose, dark fruits, dark malt and toasted malt, too; moderate sweetish-bitter flavour with a sourish tinge, medium bodied; sweet-fruity and also bitter finish with a very faint tinge of cacao powder. O.K., but not really great - the sourish tinge......
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Davros (1021) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - MAY 22, 2012
Pours dark brown with a small fading head.
Nose shows golden syrup, caramel, prunes, figs, sultanas. Very fruit. Tempting.
Flavours show the same dark fruits and caramel, along with sweet, bready, melanoidin malt. Some booze creeps in in the finish. A bit cloying.
Could use a little more carbonation, body is overly syrupy.

2.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 ALLOVATE (1708) - Butler, WA, AUSTRALIA - FEB 21, 2012
Only a light pffft as the top came off. Very minute bubbles rise sluggishly towards atmosphere with not action on the surface. The body a shimmering deepest ruby. Thick, treacly, caramelised dark fruits on the nose, very rich, sweet and spicy with a hint of vanillin, mocha, Cookies and cream icecream and raw pistachio nut - very enticing. And that’s where it came to a halt. Thinner than expected with a medium light body and prickly carbonation upfront that dwindles to become oily in back. Strange red wine and soft white cheese notes dominate the palate. It has cream and cheese in the swallow too, what the!? Quite dry and drawing, the vinous quality is overpowering with just a little plum and wood, with very light musty cellar notes. This was a strange transition from the wonderful aroma. To its credit the alcohol falls in well, adding to the wine-like quality of it. But where did the aroma go? (33cL, BBE 08/13, Mane Liquor, Belmont)

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 GSAP (84) - NETHERLANDS - DEC 23, 2011
Textuur is aangenaam, weinig kraag.
