Bottle shared at a tasting at our place. Thanks vipinvelp! Hazy brown with beige wave. Some raisins, some wood, nutty aroma. A little alcoholic bitterness and fermented fruit in the mouth. Medium body, long, fruity finish.

Bottle sample at a tasting at kerenmk’s place. Thanks kerenmk. Hazy deep amber-brown with a beige head. Aroma of malt, caramel, some roast, some dark fruits and a bit of alcohol. Sweet flavor with malt, caramel, some decent roast, nuts, a fruity touch, a bit of alcohol and a drier finish. Medium-bodied. A bit too boozy, but alright.

Bottle 33cl. Murky ruby brown color, small frothy tan head, recedes quite quick but with heavy lacing; roasted malts nose, caramel, brown sugar, dark chocolate, licorice, spicy notes; taste medium to heavy sweet and light to medium bitter, roasty and earthy notes; full body, sticky texture, average carbonation, aftertaste bittersweet; overall ok doppelbock.

Dark ruby brown colour, nice thick head that slowly dissipates to a thin sheet. Sweet caramel and bitterness. Very nice.

UPDATED: NOV 28, 2014 Bottle 33cl. Deep brown, almost black with a good creamy beige head. Aroma is not very special. Some malts are recognizable. Taste is balanced with a subtle bitterness at first which turns more sharp in the aftertaste.

This is a really interesting bokbier. It has a good amount of spice but it's also fairly sweet. Some call it balanced but I would disagree with that.

Drank with Masum @ Kandinsky 13-11-2014. Okay beer, not great. Quite intense taste, but unbalanced. Very sweet and also alcohol hints. Spiky beer.

Pitch black beer with beautiful ruby highlights. Clear with a nice head. Smell is subtle caramel chocolate with a nice earthy leather feel. Touch of dark fruit and drop saltiness. Subtle. Taste is surprisingly robust compared to the smell. Nice fizzy warmth, watery bitterness with a dry finish. Accentuates the leather and drop. Nice!
