Svesse (5862) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - SEP 3, 2013
(Draught at Kafé Belgie, Utrecht, 25 July 2013) Reddish brown colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of caramel, dark bread and brown sugar. Malty, vinous taste with caramel, chocolate, dried fruit and a certain spicy bitterness in the finish. Full body, quite sweet. Found it a bit hard to define style-wise, but tasty and well made. Nice one. Apparently this was the last batch from the brewery before closing it down, which really is sad. We salute you for what you have done. Cheers.

Poured a ruby colour with a minimal white head, Aroma of sweet berry fruit over light caramel malt. Medium to full body, flavour of a very fruity barley wine with a lingering bitter sweet end. This brewery will be missed.
