3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 MPA (715) - Amager (form. Nørrebro&Aalborg), DENMARK - JUL 30, 2011
Bottle (from the november 2005 RB-tasting at Dixens place - notes have been damaged by flooding of my basement, but this was such an insane tasting for me as I was new to such massive tastings, so I gave up on the detailed notes quite early).

Same big bottle as pictured. Pours big head that fades quickly. Unfiltered. Overall easy drinking, not too much flavour.

Purchased a long time ago, around Christmas at the LCBO, and comes in a beautiful white ceramic 2 Litres bottle with a swing top. Wow... still good after all that time. Pours a golden-brown colour that is clear at first and gets hazy as you pour more. Great foamy-soapy white head that stays a while and creates patchy and chunky lace. Very nice smelling brew with the usual Pils nose and notes of citrus and hop with a touch of honey. Lovely tiny bubble carbonation with a refreshing winter mouthfeel. Magnificent taste of a pilsner with some nice grain, grassy hops and even hints of coffee in the aftertaste. A very well-balanced brew that I would love to try again... but not sure if they are still making this one (or if it will ever come to Canada again). A nice winter pils with a little punch that is nicely spiced.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 Bragesnak (3859) - Aarhus, DENMARK - MAR 21, 2010
Taster at DØE-meeeting, Aarhus Syd, DK.
Jar, 170310.
Brown with no head. Aroma of fruit and yeast. Flavor is sweet cane sugar with notes of esters. Unpleasant palate.

2 liter swing top growler:
Decants an unfiltered murky honey gold with a massive rocky head that settles to a 2 finger lacing cap that lasts the drink.
Nice nose: caramel, fruits spices and some woody earthiness.
Bight fruity spicy character with a wonderful earthiness..dries up in the finish. Not overly complex but like a mellow fruity version of Orval.
A welcome winter warmer.
2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 Sammy (6119) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 20, 2007
Price probably discourages many from trying this one. It is a beutiful ceramic mug, and the ladies can think up some uses for it-planter? The beer itself is light mouthfeel and colour, fizzy carbonation, and drinkable. Some spices to a Eurolager would be one way to describe it.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 hagisu (42) - Ontario, CANADA - AUG 11, 2007
I have had this "winter" ale on a few occasions in the past couple of years and each year the flavour is a little different. Its hoppy and pleasant to the palate. The aroma has hints of fruit, the finish is nice and balanced.

2 Litres jug: Poured a medium amber color ale with a small bubbly head with minimal retention. Aroma of light caramel malt with dry hoppy finish. Taste of semi-sweet caramel malt with light spices mix and some weird dry hoppy finish, which doesn’t, really fits in. Body is somewhat watery with some very low carbonation. I’m glad I tried it but this is a very poor from a usually great brewery.
