Sammy (2969), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Dec 20, 2007 Price probably discourages many from trying this one. It is a beutiful ceramic mug, and the ladies can think up some uses for it-planter? The beer itself is light mouthfeel and colour, fizzy carbonation, and drinkable. Some spices to a Eurolager would be one way to describe it. hagis_u (41), Ontario, Canada Aug 11, 2007 I have had this "winter" ale on a few occasions in the past couple of years and each year the flavour is a little different. Its hoppy and pleasant to the palate. The aroma has hints of fruit, the finish is nice and balanced. tomthompson89 (1051), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Apr 27, 2007 very nice beer good golden amber colour of coarse unfiltered, good head. sorta fruity nose, with some nice hops, sweet flavour, good bitter dry finish. Boutip (1725), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada Jan 3, 2007 2 Litres jug: Poured a medium amber color ale with a small bubbly head with minimal retention. Aroma of light caramel malt with dry hoppy finish. Taste of semi-sweet caramel malt with light spices mix and some weird dry hoppy finish, which doesn’t, really fits in. Body is somewhat watery with some very low carbonation. I’m glad I tried it but this is a very poor from a usually great brewery. mkobes (2015), New York, USA Feb 15, 2006 On tap at Sputyen. Deep copper in color with a nice tan head. Malty and hoppy aroma. Sweet tasting. Malty flavor Caramel notes. Medium bodied. Sticky. Finish is sweet and bitter. Smooth. Nice beer
