Nice golden brown with a thick foam. Earthy aroma with slight floral. Stale fruit flavor and dry hop bitterness. Finish is dry and bitter.

Tap at the brewery.
Beautiful amber coloration and lacing that is nothing short of astounding for a 5.0% beer. Complex yeast-driven aroma, powerful flavors that veer only slightly into the territory of fermented fruit. I’d love to try this one side by side with Ulrige.

draft at the brewery. pours a slightly hazy and deeply burnished dark amber. loose off white head and decent stringy lace. nice rich caramel and brown bread toast nose. creamy medium body with nice soft carb. beautiful caramel, nuts, and toast mid palate with a nice toasty, earthy finish. puts alaskan amber to shame...clean and drinkable, but so much flavor.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 bvc (941) - Kenmore, Washington, USA - NOV 27, 2009
Draft at Pacific Inn with some fish and chips. Pours a deep golden with a black drip coffee tint to it an a very small off white head. Faint nose, but slight roasty caramel malt with sweet grassy green apple and some earthiness. Bready and yeasty with some tart apple...all really mild though, with some light roastiness and cola. Decent stuff, but not at the top of the list from chuckanut.

Tap at Naked City. Lightly sweet toasty aroma, a touch earthy. Some caramel notes too. Pours copper/amber, thin to no head. The flavor is malty up front with sweet toasted bread and caramel, a tad fruity sweetness and an earthy bitterness in the finish. Clean and well done, just unremarkable. I like their lagers better.

Clear amber with tiny collections of bubbles and a full, off-white, head. Clean, crisp malt and grainy aroma with characteristic hints of would befitting and alt. Flavor is a medium graininess with some sourdough. Medium hoppiness and bitterness with a sourish, dry and woody finish.
