American Style Dark Lager, including Chuckanut’s is typically a deep copper to deep dark brown, capped by a tan head. The lightly roasted malt flavors are a direct result of the combination of the malts used. Chuckanut American Dark Lager is bubbly, malty, and finishes clean.

Draft at ncbc. Pours black with a dense creamy tan head that doesnt stick around. Loose webby lace. Big roasty sweet nose. Creamy medium body. Nice presence for a lager. Light carb. Roasty sweet mid palate. Mild finish.

Beautiful dark amber brown; slightly sour aroma. Rather fizzy mouthfeel and conventional American Dark flavors. This one strikes me as the least inspired of the various Chuckanut brews I’ve had to date, but I can’t put much a finger on specific flaws.
