Tap at the brewery.
Very light straw, beautiful light grassy German hop aroma. Cracker flavors with plenty of lemon and dry hop bite. Not light on the flavor at all; this is a goregous Kolsch that I could drink the shit out of on a hot summer’s day.
4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 tongatim (22) - Bellingham, Washington, USA - MAR 5, 2009
This pleasant offering rides the rail between ales and lagers. Clean, with a malt dominance that showcases the quality grains that Will Kemper uses in all his beers. Refreshing, dry finish, but enough body and substance to be more than a lawnmower beer. Light hint of fruity esters adds to character.

Shaker pint draft at the brewpub in Bellingham, Washington. Pour is perfectly clear golden yellow with a one inch pure white head. There are a bunch of effervescent bubbles rising to the surface throughout the beer. Aroma is mildly sweet maltiness, with grass and mineral earthiness. Taste is a perfect combination of the mild sweetness, grassy hay and mineral. Soft, super
and fresh, perfectly clean, delicious. Palate is medium to thin bodied, active carbonation - clean and dry in the finish. Crazy drinkable, really nice stuff.

Draft at brewery: Has a light, easy-drinking texture; gentle, earthy malt flavors of fresh bread dough; a subtle hop bitterness (herbal); and a dry, slightly fruity finish. Lingering grassy bitterness. Clean, crisp, refreshing and tasty kolsh.

Growler at a recent BA/RB tasting... Poured golden straw-yellow with a white head. Insanely crisp and light, perfect for hot weather. Just right for the style, with an accent on the biscuity malts, corn, and a low bitterness.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 riversideAK (4566) - Shoreline, Washington, USA - MAY 6, 2009
Lightly sweet aroma. Pours bright light golden with a thin head. Moderately sweet light malts, a hint of fruity notes, and a clean dry finish. Not complex, but again well made and insanely drinkable. I wish I could go on about this one how Tom went on about the Golden Ale, but instead I will tell a quick story. I was hella drunk at this point after drinking pretty much all day. My girlfriend was being a poon and my friend Killa Steve and I went to Ricks after I finished this beer thinking it would be a great idea. Apparently Ricks is ran by the mafia and used to be a whorehouse... some of the strippers were in their forties... it is not a whorehouse anymore.
