SB (287), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 22, 2006 On-Tap @ Church Brew Works.
Dark Amber Ale. 1-inch frothy, creamy white head. Nice lacing on the glass. Aroma sweet. Caramel and grassy tones. Flavor the same sweetness, with a grassy, earthy hop bite. Medium bodied. Good carbonation present. Smooth, Creamy mouthfeel.
Miver (393), WillowStreet, Pennsylvania, USA Feb 29, 2008 Draft at CBW. Poured pale copper in color with small off white head. Aroma of mild hops and caramel malt backbone. Taste is semi sweet, caramel malts, with a bitter hop finish. Nothing spectacular. cheapdark (1559), Monacatootha, Pennsylvania, USA Feb 17, 2008 New batch for 2008. Slightly darker than the ubiquitous pale yellow american ale but just as clear. Has a Pittsburgh dirt attitude about it. Hoppy yet not excessive. Ale-ish int the most basic sense. Copper aroma. Oily medium hop medicinal finish. hemya (2), USA does not count Oct 17, 2006 More hoppy than their American Pale Ale. Decent amount of caramel and nice citrus aroma. Would preferit to their American Pale Ale zebracakes (981), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 8, 2006 On tap at the Church Brew Works. Clear caramel with off white head.
