Doughy, yeasty and fruity. A bit like a cherry pie. Rather sweet, but not cloying.

Pours orange amber with a 1 finger tan head. Nose is sweet and full of cherries. Taste is sweet and full of cherries and some nice deep fruit. Tasty.

Jun 15, 2008 Bottle. Thanks to Vferg for sharing this. Also had at capones on draft. Pours a dark ruby body with a white head. Aroma is malty with sweet cherries, spices, and some wood character. The etoh is noticable and slightly more pronounced from the cherries. A solid beer through and throughout.

Jun 7, 2008 750ml bottle @Hoboken#1-pours a white ring for a head and hazy amber color. Aroma is cherry/wood/grainy/spicy. Taste is cherry/wood/grainy/spicy, smoother than expected from the aroma.

May 15, 2008 Growler shared at Paul’s gathering. Sweet, malty, vegetal aroma. Sage and yeast. No cherry at all. Flavor is harsh vegetals and booze. Oh well.
