2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Sampled on cask at the brewpub this beer poured a very dark brown color with an enormous creamy beige head that left incredible lacing. The aroma was sweetish, nutty and malty with fain dark fruits, vanilla and moderate cola finishing up. The flavor was tart, bitter and malty with notes of red wine, cola, wood, nut and fig. Long bitter and malty finish with wood and cola lingering. Medium body.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Draft. Poured dark brown. Roasty, slightly odd tartness, lots of caramel. Low bitterness. Thin palate. I like milds, but this didn’t quite cut it.
