COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Honey Wit is a variation on a traditional Belgian Wit beer. We experimented with non-traditional ingredients and techniques by adding wildflower honey to the fermentation which also increased the alcohol content a bit. You may notice in the aroma some floral/citrusy/fruity aroma. This complexity comes from the unique Belgian yeast, bitter orange peel and the honey. We also added extra hops, so you’ll a non-standard bitter finish to this Wit.

On tap into a sampler. Appearance is a hazy gold with a quickly dissipating white bead. Aroma is very yeasty. Taste is a bit spicy with notes of orange, clove, and coriander. Overall, a good attempt. Too bad there’s no real honey taste.

Draft @ Church Brew. Pours a murky, dulled golden-orange color; off-white head with good retention and fine-bubbled lacing. Sweet honey, juicy oranges, and slightly overripe fruits in the aroma; honeyed sweetness and coriander, mostly. Medium-to-full mouthfeel: Belgian sugar, chewy, viscous honey, and slightly rough spicing (coriander, white pepper); slightly abrasive on the edges, but decently drinkable and well-formed overall. Touch too sweet. Lengthy finish: touch of alcohol, honeyed sweetness, spicing, and Belgian sugar.
