COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Roaster’s Rebellion, a very rich Coffee Stout. The base beer is more hearty than an Irish Stout, but of coarse not near the boldness of our Imperial. It has a notably sweet flavor profile, highlighted by notes of toffee. With this as the backbone, the real attraction is in the strong coffee component. 16 pounds of Espresso beans were steeped at the end of the boil to give a full coffee flavor, and 10 pounds of French Roast were cold infused in the conditioning tank to capture the aroma of fresh ground coffee. The coffee was roasted at Bourbon Street Micro Roasters on Walnut St. The cask condition versions feature different flavored coffees in place of French Roast.

Amazing!! Great stout and a complete homerun for the Church Brewworks. Espresso taste blends with smooth finish to make this, IMHO, their finest beer ever!
