COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
From the brewer: Schneeflocke (Snowflake)Vienna lager is a style of lager beer. It was developed by brewer Anton Dreher in Vienna in 1841. Its popularity in Europe eventually faded, but Austrian brewers who immigrated to Mexico revived the style in the late 19th century. Some commercial examples of this style are Dos Equis, Elliot Ness from Great Lakes, and Brooklyn Lager from Brooklyn Brewery. The Association of Brewers defines the beer class Vienna lager as a reddish brown or copper colored beer with medium body and slight malt sweetness. The malt aroma and flavor may have a toasted character. Hop bitterness should be clean and crisp. Noble-type hop aroma and flavor should be low or mild. As with most lagers, fruitiness due to esters is a defect. I hope everyone enjoys our version of this classic brew.

On tap at Church Brew Works, bright orangeish-amber color, with a small white head, fruity toasted malt nose, with a faint caramelized malt note, a subtle nuttiness, light flowery hop aroma follows through on a light-bodied palate with a weak toasted malt character, a faint floral hop accent, a subtle fruitiness, and toffeeish note, leading towards a minimal hop bittering finish. When i was there, this one was one of their speciality brew.
