COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION Named after St. Arnold of Metz the Patron Saint of Brewers, we are introducing our St. Arnold Raspberry Ale. He professed to his congregation that beer was nutritious and safer to drink than water. Brewed using the second runnings from our Belgian Trippel , the St. Arnold Raspberry Ale is a unique and interesting example. At first appearance the St Arnold Raspberry Ale has a hazy reddish color. Since the yeast used is unique, we left the beer unfiltered so that the character of the yeast would carry over (plus it’s a good source of B vitamins). Notice the aroma. It is complex and fruity, truly Belgian in character. As you sip the beer you will notice a prickly bite from the CO2 and a medium bodied mouthfeel. The dominant flavors are light malty mouthfeel with a nice raspberry finish. The hop profile was left low in order for the raspberry sweetness to be enjoyed.
