The ThunderHop I.P.A. has an intense bitterness, flavor and aroma. We chose to use two varieties of American hops in the brewing process. The color is copper to amber and the aroma is noticeably hoppy due to the use of Glaciers in the dry hop process. You will also pick up a complexity from fruit-like esters. The body is big and malty with some caramel sweetness.

bottle from linus stick: pours a caramel brown with a small off white head. aroma is pine and grapefruit rind hops amd a deep sweet malt under that. the flavour is alomost grassy a nd bitter the hops come out in the finish as slight grapefruit rind the malt seems to be hidden in the beer and there is really not much to the flavour, just average to me.

Thanks to Jason for this one. Little head, amber body. Thick floral, chewy hop aroma. Flavor has a strong hop bite, some vegetative celery, and an earthiness.

Bottle. Has a nice reddish copper hue with a head that lets me know it is hop heavy. That said, aromas are fairly mild and it is hard to pick up much more than some mild hops presence. Flavor is very nice, though and is a wonderful recovery from the mild nose. Big pine and citrus hops presence with enough caramel malt to keep it from coming across as watery or pure hops. At times the alcohol is too much and comes through as a little astringent, at other times it blends nicely. It’s a little rough around some of the edges, but better than most.

12oz bottle, courtesy of jasonp. Thanks, Jason! Pours a clear, bright golden-orange color; thin off-white head with fine-bubbled lacing. Some basic earthy hop bitterness, cedar, and dry earthy malts in the aroma; a bit resigned. Relaxed carbonation. Sticky, earthy and citrus malts in a medium-to-full mouthfeel: a touch watery on the edges; fair amount of residual sticky maltiness. Long, sticky finish: wet malts, red fruits, and some earthy bitterness.

Red-gold body with small white ring for head. Nose of strong grapefruit, pine, and wood. Flavor is grapefruit and caramel. The palate is a little clean and foamy, and overall, the beer is just standard, though still drinkable.

Had this on cask. The beer looked great very murky with a offwhite head that stayed around for nearly the whole beer. Smell was earthy with some pine notes. Taste was alittle malty sweet with a piney hop flavor. Finish was alittle bitter. Tasted really flat to me.

Bottle from Cappelli’s in Washington, PA. This brew pours a mostly clear dark amber color with a thin white head that dissipates slowly. Hoppy aroma with touches of pine and citrus. Medium-bodied with a moderately bitter hoppy character. Notes of pine and grapefruit with a small amount of malt in the background as well. The finish is hoppy with a lingering bitterness left behind. Overall there is just enough malt to keep this beer from becoming overly astringent but it is still pretty close to being too far in that direction. Still it is above average.
