Pitch pint with heaped tan suds, poured fresh from the barrel at the brewery. Smoky-nosed, well-attenuated, roasty stout packed full of cocoa-rich chocolate bitterness and just enough cherry sourness to make it interesting. A skilled and well-rounded melding of flavours.

Cask conditioned at Coventry Beer Fest ’07. Dark brown with no head. Sweet and sticky throughout, not much of a cherry flavour and little of the chocolate malt, just clinging, overpowering sweetness. Not to my taste.
