A Mes rate:
Cask at Chelmsford Beer Festival. Black brown colour. Very grassy in the nose for a mild. Fruity and malty in the flavour with a pleasing hoppy finish. Unusual mild, like a mix of different styles.

Cask at GBBF 06: quite bitter, more then usual for the style. A head that disappears fast, medium bodied, really satisfying, very roasted, some sourish notes, dark chocolate, pretty dry finish and aftertaste, overall, pretty easy to drink and a pretty good mild.

UPDATED: JUN 24, 2007 Rubyish black, creamily bodied stout? with a beige head and roasty black coffee aroma. Black coffee in the flavour, too, with some chocolate notes. Sweetish with a balancing bitterness. Can this really be a mild? (Re-rate 25/06/07) At The Altar. Thin, coffee-flavoured and beautifully conditioned. Pretty insipid Mild.

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Hand pulled at the Criterion, Leicester. Smells delicious and looks ruby/black diaphanous, with no head. Tasty Mild with a very insistent choc and coffee finish, approaching porterness. Quite relaxed in flavour to start off, but a really good payoff. Thinnish in the mouth, but still smooth.

Beer #10 at Chelmsford Beer Festival, with Duff. Very deep, rich red/brown colour. Roasty malt and some coffee in the aroma. Much the same on the palate, with some berry fruit also. Finished quite dry. Full body, and full flavour, for a mild. Very good indeed. Cask (gravity dispense).
