2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 foxo82 (162) - Leicestershire, ENGLAND - APR 16, 2012
Bottle (bottle conditioned) from Stirchley Wines & Spirits, Pershore Road, Birmingham. This may have been classed as a bitter but I’d say it is more of a golden ale. Pours a clear amber with sediment. Nice head with a decent lifespan. Faint, citrus aroma with some fruity hops. Poor mouthfeel - too fizzy for my tastes and more in line with a pale lager. Taste is initially bitter but soon gives way to sweetness and a huge shot of citrus. Decent session/barbeque ale but not at all memorable.

Bottle:
Pissy colour and the aroma of fuddy, wet animals. Less than appealing start to what turned out to be a stale and boring brew. Te only notable thing here is the boozy petrol finish.
