Cask in three judges. Aroma is very very sulphurus, bittering hop. Taste is dominated by sulphur and pale malts, but very bitter in the finish.

Cask conditioned - handpump - Malt Shovel Northampton. A golden beer with a whitish head and lacing. The aroma is subdued but pretty pleasant with hints of hop and fruity malts. The taste has some peachy notes. Some light flavours but all nicely balanced and making for what would be an easy beer to have a session on.

Cask, Melton Fest 07. Golden with a small head. Aromas are hay and citrus with some spices. Some pear, too. Flavours are caramel and pear with tea. Mellow lemon with dry, bitter grapefruit on the finish.

Cask handpull at the altar. Golden amber with a creamy head of suds. Urinal nose with great big gust of sulphur. Mellow, orange-accented sessions with a caramel smoothness and a sprinkle of oats. Some softly raspberryish notes emerging as it warms. Even CE’s ’malt-driven’ bitters are tangily hopped. Quality, flavour-packed sessions.
