Cask-conditioned at the Cross Hands, Winterbourne Down, S Gloucestershire 24/12/09. Deep gold with a slight white head. Aroma of fruity, citrus hops and some sweet malts. Flavour started sweet, before some orangey hops and a bitter finish. Ok.

(Cask December 2007) Copper clear. Head OK on pouring but quickly dissipates. Sweet caramel scent. Slightly thin with a moderate bitterness. Some sugars. Very hoppy with a hint of berries. Very good.

UPDATED: DEC 26, 2009 At The Altar. Red gold wafting with enticing musty hop. Mouthful of succulent citrus, chalky smoothness a bit like Black Sheep, big spiky hops rounded at the edges. Better than averagely good, fruitily hopped bitter with a well-integrated balance of hops and malt.
