Cask-conditioned at the Bag ONails, Bristol 22/12/08. Pale gold with a slight, yet lacy white head. Sweet, creamed sweet corn aroma with some grassy hops. Flavour had some more corn, a herbal edge and fruity hop kick in the finish, giving way to dryness. Ok.

At the brewery, Xmas Eve. Bold, hoppy, golden and stinging with citrus. Ripe, sulphurous, nettle-like hop aroma. Lemony grapefruit nuthusk bitterness rounded with oats. Nice.

UPDATED: DEC 9, 2007 (Re-rate Dec 07): Cask handpump at The Wellington, Birmingham. Golden wiht a short head. Sweet limey scent. Slightly carbonated, bitter and dry. Biscuit malts in the front, which give way to some citrus and honey hops. One of those beers which improves with each mouthful, as the malt is quite overwhelmingly earthy at first. (Dec 06): Golden with a short head. Perfumed scent. Good thickness, moderately bitter. Slightly sweet with some flowers in the mouth.

UPDATED: MAR 25, 2006 I like it but just for a while, it was too bitter, the aroma too. The artwork was nice, but the colour was too pale.
