Cask Conditioned, White Horse, Hedgerley, Bucks. Beer Festival Day 3 of 4, beer 16. This cask was especially dry hopped. This one has lots of biscuit/bready malt, a delicate sweetness, and a fair ammount of hops. I would go so far as to call it the perfect summer beer, but it perhaps has a little too much body to it, to be drunk under the sun.

500th posting, in honour of my local House Of Worship. Hand-pulled at the altar. Deep amber pint topped with clumpy white suds. Lacy as granny’s dolieys. Slightly soapy citrussy grapefruit hop bitterness. Plenty of body. Oatily biscuity malt after the swallow. A sprinkle of pencil shavings. Possibly not as ’exhilarating’ as claimed in the accompanying prayer-book, but tasty enough to commemorate the half-millenium. Amen.
