Cask-conditioned at the Cross Hands, Winterbourne Down, S Gloucestershire 23/06/10. Deep gold with a slight white head. Aroma of leafy hops with a touch of citrus and malt sweetness. Flavour of biscuit malts, a suggestion of lime opal fruits and marmalade, leading to a dryish finish. Good.

Cask at the tap. Decent Rownree’s jelly and Fruit pastilles aroma; pineapple, lemon and lime, berries. Pleasant soapy orange tang with almond peeking through. Dry finish softened with Farley’s rusks. OK.
