Bottle from the brewery, thanks Colin and Kendra (now you are even getting me beers from my home town!). Looks the same, dark orange, decent white head (vs non oaked). Aroma is pleasant - booze, sweet malt and hints of vanilla. taste is very good and a big improvement over solid but unspectacular non-oak version - rich sweet malt, booze and vanilla taste, wood/dust hints, long dry boozy finish. This was never a complex beer but the oak has completely rounded out a previously rough package. Incredibly drinkable - my Father-In-Law and I put this away pretty quickly. A really solid effort and a nice example of how a barrel can improve (but not overwhelm) a beer. Nice job Church Key.

Bomber from the brewery. It’s all about the oak, in both aroma and flavour. It’s also all about the booze. And it’s a little bit about the malt. Could use some age. If you’re into big oaked beers, you’ll love this one.
