Draught at C’Est What Spring Festival. Pours a very dark brown with an average size creamy tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, toffee, some chocolate and coffee. Nice roasty flavour along with some berries, hints of coffee and chocolate and a bitter dry finish. Medium bodied, creamy mouthfeel. Solid!

[2135-20090508] Tap. Coffee grounds and muddy earth aroma. Dark brown black body with a long-lasting creamy tan head. Earthy "mineral" flavour has some coffee malt and mild roast. Full body. Good.

Draught. At C’Est What Spring Fest. Black, opaque pour, decent lasting creamy tan head - at last a 4/5!! Aroma of licorice, mint, coffee, toffee and something slightly burnt - I can accept "toast" from garthicus. The flavour follows, slightly acidic, strongly roasty, with a bit of table cream in with the coffee and licorice. Light-bodied for a stout, but redeemed by a pleasing frothiness, mildly acidic and carbonated, finishes like a mild, very, very drinkable, no lingering acidity - truly sessionable. Well done! (beer of the afternoon for me)

On tap at Cest What?
Appearance: thick, dark brown with large creamy top
Nose: Mid creamy character with light roasted follow up. Gentle and good.
Flavor/Palate : medium light bodied but with solid roasted malt character. Stout with creamy side. Solid offering.

Enjoyed on-tap at C’est What. Black with some coffee. Roast, coffee aroma. Good mouthfeel, even thickish. Lace dots. Carbonation is on the aggressive side, typical for this bar. AN above average decent stout, well-balanced.

On tap C’est What Spring Fest 2009. Great roasty aroma. Black, creamy brown head. Taste is excellent - roasty, creamy body, dry finish. Full bodied and packed with flavour. The best Ontario non imperial stout I have had, get this regularly available now!!!
