Pours a clear burnt yellow with not a lot of white head. Smell is fruity and slightly roasted malt. Palate is medium bodied with average carbonation. Taste is sweet and bitter at first, but gives way to a pineapple flavour. Aftertaste is both bitter and sweet. Interesting, and decently good DIPA.

Cask at Vankleek Hill. The color is a hazy honey with a thin off white head. The aroma is not very strong but it is bitter. Some hops, but I would like to know what kind. The tatse is bitter, almost sour.It has a strong aftertaste.

For a DIPA this beer is seriously lacking. It’s not that it’s a bad beer--not at all, it’s quite tasty--it’s that it feels so thin compared to many other DIPAs. A decent enough brew that doesn’t really cut it compared to far superior brews in its category. Lots of the typical hops and citrus flavours, but little bite.

UPDATED: JAN 16, 2013 On tap at Imbibe. Clear golden orange with a small surface film. The aroma is quite nice, piney hops hit with orange esters and mild caramalt. Flavour is okay, with some really nice hop characters but it’s just way to sweet, almost cloyingly so. Not sure how exactly you achieve this level of residual sugar and thin, syrupy body, but jeez it’s defining. Finishes overly sweet with an inadequate amount of hops. Not much booze which is good. Honestly I just can’t fully appreciate anything this brewery produces, something always seems to go wrong and it just seems unprofessional.

En fût au Wellington Gastro Pub. Couleur ambrée, mousse beige pâle. Malt, alcool, grains, houblons. Bonne neer mais comme Imperial IPA ont a déjà vu mieux.

Aroma has caramelized malt and floral hops, not so much citrus. Very rich colour - clear. Boozy bitterness. Lighter aftertaste. Not much head - pours clear orange. On tap at volos.

Pours orand with lots of lacing. Too sweet with not enough hop aroma for my liking. Some bitterness in the finish. An unremarkable 2IPA.

Drank on cask at the Vankleek Hill Oktoberfest 2012, September 29. Golden creamy blond, little head. Aroma of peaches and nuts hops, a little malty. Nutty hoppiness, notes of bitter grains, fruity bitterness. Bitter céréal, very interesting!

Cask at Vankleek Hill’s/Beau’s Oktoberfest. Foggy orange with short-lasting white head. Smells...meaty? Taste is grapes, hay, sand, umami. Some grape acidity, tartness. Light bodied. Very...unique, peculiar beer.
