On tap at Pub Italia as Satan’s Killer Red. Dark orange, small white head. Sweet caramel aroma - strong - a hint of church key house yeast maybe?? Strong sweet taste - lots of caramel malt. Thin body. Slight hops. Tasty session beer that was best served cold - tasted very fresh.

On tap at Pub Italia- Pours deep amber with a frothy beige cap. Fruity malt aroma with yeasty esters, bubblegum, a bit of cotton candy. This is a fairly flavourful interpretation of the style. Its sweeter than I expected. Quite fruity with sweet bready, dough. Yeasty and sweet candy and bubble gum once more. There’s just a hint of smoke on the finish. Quite good for sessions. I enjoyed it.

Apparence: La couleur est ambrée avec une très faible densité de bulle. Présence d’un mince col mousseux et d’une fine dentelle sur le verre. Saveur: Léger goût de céréales et de caramel légèrement fruité. Durée moyenne de l’arrière goût. Palette: Le corps est moyen avec une texture légèrement huileuse. Moyenne effervescence en bouche. On tap at the stinking rose. A good base of bready malts, with some light caramel. Light floral hops, semi dry bitter finish. Nothing incredible, but well made and super drinkable.

Satan’s Killer Red at Pub Italia: This was a nice change of pace after a few Belgians. Had a crisp nutty quality. Poured a nice amber/red color with very little head. Nothing to write home about, but a perfectly fine beer. Probably better on a hot day when the beer is nice and cold.

Nice to drink, easy down, dark malts, comes through with a bittering taste, its not bad, decent offering, would have again

Draft @ Pub Italia as Satan’s Killer Red. The name may be a bit big for the beer :) Red amber body, small white head and a smattering of lace. Fruity, yeasty house Church Key aroma alludes to Northumberland to me, pleasantly so. Light bitterness witha fruity character and light malt. Very muted notes of caramel. Average palate. Quite quaffable but underwhelming. I agree with the cold serving recommendation by others.

Draught, at Volo. This rating has eluded me for years - happy to get the tick. Clear bright burnt-copper pour with an average off-white head. Dry, mild aroma - a bit syrupy-sweet with hints only of leafy bitterness and dry cocoa. The taste follows - mild, dry, sweet but that odd chocolate bitterness to it. Watery body, with lively carbonation, it finishes lightning-quick - and leave no lasting impression. Not bad - probably solid with food.

On tap at Bar Volo. Orange red coloured body. Hoppy, above average mouthfeel. Well carmelized. The taste is of the malts, with some roasted malt. Above average for the style.
