At Bar Volo on tap. Hazy golden yellow with slight white giant head. Citrusy vegetal aroma and flavour. Quite refreshing. Slight vegetal aftertaste. Not bad at all.

On tap. pours hazy yellow with a little white head. Mild aroma of banana and grain with some fruit. taste of spice, yeast. Average. too muted.

Draught at Volo. Pours a cloudy yellow-gold with a small semi-lasting frothy white head. Aroma is mild but decent, with grain, herbal notes, a hint of sour fruit, citrus, light spices and some sugary sweetness. Flavour of grain, fruit, yeast, light spices and a hint of hops in the finish. Average bodied. An O.K. version of the style.

On tap at the Wooly. Pours cloudy, orangish golden in colour. Nice white frothy head and tonnes of lacing. Aroma and taste are wheaty, spicy, pepper notes. Pretty damn good!

Fresh filled growler this afternoon, its nice, a little thicker mouthfeel than usual for the style, but it works nicely. Pours cloudy yellow with a white lacy cap. Grass and clove aromas, still more grass in the flavour with lemon and white pepper notes. Finish has a little olive and cheese curd like tang

[3710-20110430] Tap. Wheatie grass poop aroma. Hazy, light orange yellow body with a quick foamy white head. Bitter grass yeast flavour has a long aftertaste with just a hint of grassy petrol. Medium body is a little bitter. Quite enjoyable, not too much going on and drinkable, if a little rough. (7/3/6+/3/14) 3.3

On tap at Volo. Pours a lightly cloudy golden yellow with small white head. Yeasty aroma with lemon and light spice. Flavour is likewise yeasty with tart citrus and light spiciness. Fine carbonation. Ok.

Growler from the brewery. Cloudy yellow, small white head. Strong spice aroma, yeast, clove, lots of spice. Taste also solid - alcohol, lemon, spice, yeast - right on style for a nice strong saison. The additional of warming alcohol tot his solid base is most welcome. A really nice effort from Church Key>

Sample at brewery. Poured nice and foamy like a normal belgian style beer. Smells sweet and nice and spicy. Taste was a little weak on the spices and almost a little watery. I did like the taste but it could use a little more life. Decent offering
