Bottle. Hazy golden, no head. Cheese and funky yeast in the aroma with clementine orange. Medium bodied. Lively and bubbly on the tongue. Goat cheese, pear, lemon rind in the flavor. Slightly peppery. Lactic finish.

Hazy golden pour with a tight white head. The aroma is very odd. Sort of an earthy savoury character with lots of umami, mushrooms and even a bit of cheesey funk. Moderate tartness along with some lightly fruity esters. A bit of pineapple and so e blackberry as well. Tbe savoury components seem to blow off after a little bit. The flavour accentuates the esters and some dankness along with a soft grainy malt base. A decently pronounced bubble gum profile pops out as it warms. Although it was pretty odd on the first approach, it really turns into something lovely.

Bottle, brewery. Medium yellow, small white head. Funky fruity aroma, some malt in there as well. First thing about the taste is the yeast, followed by a citrus white wine character. Not sue if that was intentional, but it gives way to a more classic style taste of funky yeast, dusty, grainy malt, and complementing bitterness over a medium body. Nice brew, the bomber might have been just a tad past its best shape though. Always enjoy trying different styles from Church Key, they had 10 beers on tap for growler purchase when I was there at Easter!

Draught at Bar Volo Toronto. Real interesting, there was a lot going on with this one. Flavors very hard to describe, from cider/ apple, like a strudel to cheesecake. Quite sweet.

Draught at Volo. Pours a hazy gold with a small diminishing creamy white head. Interesting aroma, it’s like a cider with added fruit and Parmesan cheese -- wtf, do I like the aroma? I’m not sure. It’s all right but a Biere de Garde? Sugary sweet flavour, again reminds me of apple cider along with some Parmesan. Average bodied. An odd beer that I still don’t know for sure if I liked it or not.

UPDATED: APR 10, 2011 [3653-20110319] Tap. Warm Parmesan cheese aroma. Slightly hazy, light orange brown body with a long-lasting creamy white head and thick lacing. More of that fluffy cheese-like character in the flavour with a smooth fruit punch undertone. Medium body. Seems in good shape, tasty, just an odd introduction with that cheese. (5/4/7/3+/14) 3.4

2011-03-19. Hazy golden nice white head and lace. 3+ Aroma of cheese and french cider is bizarre but kind of pleasant. Light yeasty notes. Flavour has a similar cheese like undertone and a bit of a fruity character, light spice note , muted pepper. Average palate. A little strange up but I kind of liked it. Made an interesting match to food. Draft, Burger Bar, Toronto

On tap at the Morrissey House, London, ON- Decants a mildly hazed lemony yellow with a thin and large bubbled head. Very interesting aromas bring back my childhood. Orange freshee and lemon drop, some herbal/floral qualities and yeasty funk to round things out.Citric bitter and funky flavour profile has lemon, floral and yeasty flavours with a touch of biscuit. Medium light body, a tad thin, but that is only a minor detraction. Lengthy citric bitter finish. Very good effort. Thanks Mark!
