Draught, at C’est What Spring Festival, May 29, 2010. Opaque gold with a decent creamy off-white head. Smells like bacon!! Grassy, fruity, barnyard. The lower alcohol is fairly evident in the taste (thin) but there’s a decent amount of complexity here to keep me interested. Tree fruit and sweet but some bitterness developing in the finish. Ends well and is pleasing for a lower alcohol hefe. Decent.

[2888-20100528] Tap. Floral pasta noodles aroma is a little powdery. Hazy, light orange brown body with a medium-lasting foamy white head. Spicy ginger flavour has lots of corn florality and a sweet smooth aftertaste. Medium body. Interesting.

Draught, at C’Est What Spring Festival, May 29, 2010. Pale cloudy yellow with an average creamy off-white head (nice bit of lace remnant too, even in a plastic cup). Smells like bacon!! I shit you not - bacon, peach and fresh-cut grass. Taste is light, but smooth and balanced (no bacon in the taste - weird) - grassy and sweet fresh apple fruitiness with some bitterness developing in the finish, but not a lot. Average body, slightly dry/astringent, very mild carbonation, with a sneaky dry bitter finish - longer than you expect "the bitterness is in the FINISH!" (I seemed to be getting mad at myself in my voice notes) - nice drinker.

On tap at C’est What 2010 Spring Festival. Pours a hazy yellow-gold with good-sized white head. Aroma of ctrius, banana, wheat and a prominent spiciness. Flavour is somewhat muted with citrus, banana, wheat with spice in finish. Decent.

Growler from the brewery. typical hefe nose. lemon,. wheat, grassy hops, banana, and some light bubblegum. Flavor was predominantly wheat, and grassy hops with a banana/clove finish. The aftertaste was quite dry, a little more than i like in a hefe. Overall a good beer.

Appearance: thick haze on gold. Good white top shown. 3+
Aroma: light nose, bit dusty, hint of smoke in there with golden malt behind.
Flavour/Body/Palate: creamy, soft textured ale. Yeasty with mineral mid with added strange bitterness to it. Not very cohesive brew.

Musty wheat aromas. Golden with lots of white head, lots of lace. Although the mouuthfeel is creamy, its not that drinkable. somewhat sour wheat flavours which still yield some taste. Not the best I have had in the style.

2010-05-28. Lightly hazy yellow body with a nice white head. 3+ Interesting aroma of wheat with a touch of malt, and something a bit odd that I can not quite place. 6+ Flavour is similar, tart wheaty notes, light bitterness throughout. Average palate. Decent, perplexing. One to pay a return visit to for more in depth analysis I think. Tap at C’est What, Toronto
