daniel0017 (231), Ontario, Canada Jul 27, 2007 On tap, Manx Pub: Dark, clear amber, one finger head, intricate lace. Very hopped aroma with traces of coffee. Complex array of hops, chocolate, coffee, butter, caramelized malt and citrus. Very bitter aftertaste, true to IPA form. Initially thought this was a cask brew, only to be told by barkeep that it wasn’t... that on its own makes me wonder what (if there even is one) the cask version is like. Smooth, full, creamy palate. Yes, this took me by surprise! This brewery made an instant great impression.
Spab (8), Toronto, Ontario, Canada does not count May 16, 2008 341 ml bottle from a 24-pack from the brewery. Pours a nice amber colour with a minimal slightly off white head. Nose was hoppy and somewhat citrusy. Taste is hoppy with a somewhat bitter finish. probstk (622), Nepean, Ontario, Canada Apr 6, 2008 341 mL bottle in a 6-pack from the Church, served at cellar temperature in a tulip glass.
App.: Medium amber, clear, small off-white head.
Aroma: A mixture of peaches and slightly woody-smokey malts (like rye whiskey), a green, vegetal note, a bit of crystal malt, odd fruitiness.
Palate: Medium body and medium+ effervescence with some sharp bubbles.
Flav.: Heavy on the apricots, a bit of the whiskey malts, a touch of the vegetables, some crystal malt; finishes dry with a pretty decent bitter kick and a touch of malt left over.
A dig the bitterness, but found the overall execution a bit disjointed.

I tried this beer on January 10, 2008 at "Smokeless Joe’s" in Toronto. The beer poured a hazy orange-gold colour with a thin white head. The aroma was very hoppy with perfumy and citrusy tones. The mouthfeel was medium-bodied with medium to high carbonation. The flavour was definitely strong on the hops with a definite grapefruit flavour. A nice bitter finish. boboski (1095), USA Nov 11, 2007 A thin white head is mostly steadfast, lacing is thin but nearly fully covering. The body is slightly hazy, honey golden. The aroma is filled with highly
herbal hops with acidic grapefruit notes, with lesser notes of candied molasses, corn stalks, cereal grains and plastic contaminants. Odd and recklessly
assertive. The flavor is a little better, mild bitterness and moderate acidity plowing over the tastebuds but not revealing much agreeable character. The
mouthfeel is light to medium bodied, slick and average. The finish is lightly bitter, thinning quickly and boring. A waste of good glass.
