Some traditions are newer than others. Church Street is proud to present our take on the American IPA with this dry-hopped, West Coast IPA thatís brimming with Cascade hop aroma, giving this tangerine-beauty a fruity and refreshing nose. Donít be surprised if you find yourself sniffing more than sipping! A bold bitterness is rounded out by notes of citrus and grapefruit, and a slightly hoppy finish. Cheers!

The name appeals to me, suggesting a sturdy bitterness. It has an amber body with a lofty, foamy ecru head. The aroma that finally seeps out carries a light caramel sweetness and a lot of citrus notes, orange, tangerine, pink grapefruit, and a smidgeon of zest. The flavor is much the same, but adds a lemony, zesty bitterness, not too intense, but enough to please. The finish is dry with a prolonged moderate bitterness. I will be drinking this again.

Aroma is citrus, fruit and Cascade hops. The flavor is citrus, Cascade hops, fruit and a mildly spicy/heat/dry finish. Kind of like a single hop IPA, pretty decent.

Tap at the taproom. Golden orange pour with a white spotty head. Resin and citrus. Mostly resin. Decent beer.

12oz bottle from Binnys that I almost forgot to rate. Slightly hazy orange-tan body. Thin, steady white head. The aroma isnít that impressive, a little resiny, burnt hop tones. A decent blast of Cascade, but the underlying body is all 90s brewpub IPA. Boring caramel, fruity ale notes, ringwood. Resiny, unenjoyable beverage.

[Bottle] Murky amber pour with a fizzy head on it. Aromas of citrus zest, caramel malts and hints of grass. Taste is herbal hops, lighter pine cone notes, citrus and biscuit malts. Overall the bitterness here is pretty weak. Very run-of-the-mill.

This is the first Church Street beer Iíve had that doesnít taste like some weird hefeweizen so it has that going for it at least. Itíls orange golden in appearance and has a small head of fine bubbles. This is a heavy, sweet and very bitter IPA. It almost comes off as a IIPA despite relatively modest gravity for the style. The focus seems to be on melon-like fruit notes and resinous bitterness in the finish. Despite its sweetness, this is really a hop focused brew w/ the malt only expressing itself as just a hint of nuttiness. This is a decent beer but for the style, Iíd prefer something more refreshing w/ a more vibrant hop presence.

Bottle. Pours a medium copper, thin white head, nose is citrus and piney hops. Mouth is medium bodied, apricot, caramel, spent grain and a whole lotta bitter.

Draft. From notes. Citrus and herbal hops with just a slight hint of something a bit tart. Very good.

From bottle. Almost no head, but good resins aroma, which carries over to flavor. Not excellent, but a solid IPA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
