4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 lovemyipas (542) - sw burbs, Illinois, USA - JAN 26, 2013tap at brewery. pours amber color with a nice two finger creamy head. aroma is toasted malt , grapefruit, and orange with a touch of caramel. lacing is very nice, leaves some nice rings and spider web along the glass. flavor is the same as aroma but stronger and with some pine. it started off a little thin and creamy at the start but comes on strong. the hops stick to your tongue for a while. you can tell this was dry hopped i believe it was with cascade if i remember right. a very nice ipa. this brewery is making some nice beers now and is going to be great in the next couple of years if they stay on the path they are on.

I was hoping for more hops in this beer. It has a nice hop aroma but it’s on the weaker side. It finished dry with a slight hop bite. Overall a solid beer.

Pours a clear olive on tap in a sampler. Sour roasted nose with sour flavor. Not a fan at all. Roasted malts are no good and this beer isn’t anything special.
4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 crossovert (4567) - Wisconsin, USA - MAR 13, 2013
Solid west-coast style ipa from these guys, it won’t set the world on fire with ibus but it is delicious.

Brewhaha. Hazy orange amber color, very frothy & foamy white head and aroma of tropical fruits, citrus hop and a yeasty note. Taste is caramel with a burnt biscuity edge & fruity grapefruit citrus hop, along with a mellow dry bitterness which lingers. Medium bodied and well carbonated.

Like the color and flavor, aroma could be a little better (might because of stuffy nose). The carbonation could be better, seems under carbed a little. The over all taste is really good. Glad to see more beer around the Chicago land area.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 tmoreau (1625) - Lombard, Illinois, USA - JAN 17, 2013
Delayed review until new brewery info was entered. Enjoyed on tap at Lunar Brewing Co., Villa Park, IL., and shaker served, displaying a cloudy, amber color, with ultra creamy head foam, and very lasting cling to the etched-like lacing. Could have sworn that there was oats or flake added. The aroma presented pleasant citrus scent of grapefruit & orange, with a touch of resin on the back, mellow malt, and a hint of yeast. The flavor added just a touch of sweetness, but was mainly on the dry side, and included a moderate, lingering hop bitterness, good carbonation, but a little less than medium body as it thinned out a bit toward the finish. Still very sessionable, and a nice intro IPA for those who are hop timid, but would like to try IPAs.
