COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
One of Germany’s quintessential beverages, now in Chicagoland. Utilizing old world decoction mashing techniques for a truly sweet malt character. This gentle drink also features a straw-colored clarity that’s clearly heavenly!

Very good beer. Little lighter than Stella. I would get it again. I have nothing more to say about this.

Tried bottled, light and crisp...good for a sunny afternoon. Poured golden color with a little foam.

Taster on tap at GTMW. Clear golden color. Thin off-white head. Loose bits of lace. Medium body. Smooth, kind of crisp lighter carbonation. Lightly slick. Good bready aroma, toasty, crackery. Moderate sweet taste, light bitter. White bread and a hint of corn. Nice refreshing helles, I liked this one. Easy-drinking lager.

Alightly hazy yellow with a small head. Not much retention. The aroma is fruity, with some bready malt character, and lager yeast. Flavor is bready pills malt with german hops, and a strange lingering anise flavor on the finish.

12oz bottle. Hazy yellow-orange body. Fast rising active carbonation bubbles rise to meet a steady, foamy, white head. A little off for the style. Has some mild doughy, earthy aroma notes you might expect from a Pils. No lagerign tones whatsoever. High temperature oddness. Overcarbonated. Some awkward off undertones. Pretty sub par product.

Bottle. Hay, lemon, and barley malt aroma. Hazy golden yellow with small head. Sweet light lemon, hay, and barley malt flavor. Nice body. Solid.

[Tap] Draught at Farmhouse in Evanston. Clear yellow pour with a large pillow of dense white head. Biscuits and faint grass in the nose. Taste is pretty true to style, with sweet malts and grains throughout. Mild hop finish. Lively carbonation. Decent.

A typical bitter lager. Like an old style, not very good at all. Pours a light yellow incolor. Has a bitter finish. Had at l woods ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

From B and C. Quite a decent helles. A little crisper than some of the softer helles of Germany, but otherwise is pretty true to style. Serving: Bottle

Much anticipated bottle, after being hearing about the brew process from Chet. This is my style so ill scrutinize it. Nice light golden pour, white head, somewhat creamy. Smell is definitely really herbal for the style, notes of anise and bubblegum. The flavor has some good bready and malty characteristics but an overriding characteristic that i can’t pinpoint. It certainly is not bad for american brewed helles lagers but there is a bit o work to do to get it on the level of new glarus or olde mecklenburger. This definitely deserves to fly off the shelves in il though as there is little else in competition with it save metro beers and the standard not as fresh as they should be imports.
