4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
The aroma is packed with hearty wheat. It is very enticing. The brew is foggy gold with a white head that leaves a few thin laces as you drink. Like the aroma, it has a brilliant wheat taste with a lemony background. It is well balanced and quite enjoyable. The palate gets stuck with a bite of carbonation that is immediately tempered by its oily coating. I could drink this all day and not get bored of it.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at the brewery, and dispensed to a house pint glass displaying a cloudy, orangy gold color, with average persistence to the off white head foam, and modest lacing. The aroma was light grain, a touch of citrusy sweetness, banana candy/circus peanuts, and subtle spice. Whereas the banana was dominant in the nose, the clove was enhanced in the flavor. A little less than medium bodied, with decent carbonation, low hop bitterness, and a mild creaminess to the mouthfeel. Maybe a little more balance between the esters and phenols, and more effervescence is needed imo, but otherwise, a tasty, refreshing Weizen from this popular, local brewery.
