Oak, bourobn, soy, vanilla, and chocolate nose
Chocolate and dark fruit taste with bourbon and oak.
full feel, light carbonation, and quite slick.
nice beer and worth trying

Bottle @ Danish Summer Gathering Ulfborg, 2012. Pours black with a creamy head and lacings. Soy, vanilla, roast and coffee. Smooth and slick. Really nice.

Had this at the Campground Brewdown. Pours a deep black to brown with a thin beiged tan head. Plums, prune, chocolate, cocoa, roast, char and vanilla. Sweet and spicy, lots of zesty malt. Light alcohol, tangy, tart, sour, infected. Roast, chocolate, cocoa, plums, prunes, cocoa. Zesty with a lot of spicy and tart notes. Very tangy.

Bottle @ Home. Pous black with a small light brown head. Aroma of roasted malts, coffee, dark chocolate, licorice, oak. Flavor is roasted malts, rich dark chocolate, bourbon, oak, vanilla, licorice, coffee, caramel. Full body, soft carbonation, pleasant warming alcohol in the finish. excellent beer. 190812

Bottle, 11% @ FOneFan, Danish Ratebeer Summer Gathering 2012. Very dark brown with small beige head. Aroma is roasted malts, chocolate and caramel. Flavour is roasted malts, chocolate, bourbon, vanilla, coffee, hop, liquorice, medium sweet and a little bitter.

Bottle @ Summer Gathering, Ulfborg. Nice head with good duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are bourbon, vanilla, fruits, roast malt, chocolate and coffee notes.

Bottle @ TFODRBSG, Ulfborg. Copper wax. Black with a brown head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt, chocolate, vanilla and bourbon. Flavor is very sweet and rather bitter. Dry and rather bitter finish with warming alcohol. Oily. 180812

Pours black with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, oak, vanilla and chocolate. Taste is medium to heavy sweet and medium bitter with a long chocolate, vanilla and oak finish. Body is full, texture is oily, carboantion is soft.

Bottle. Copper wax. Pours jet black with a medium beige head. The aroma is light smoke, hard roasted malt, sweet tobacco, light spice, chocolate, vanilla and oak. The flavour is vanilla, cocoa, bourbon and hard roasted malt. This is great!

Bottle, 22oz, at TFODRBSG 2012. 2010 vintage it seems, but the wax was more copper than gold, so maybe 2012? A black one, more or less, clear looking and topped by a dense, beige head. Dark chocolate, roasted malts, some coffee and a touch of vanilla. A little bit of vanilla on the palate, with roasted malts, something boozy, dark chocolate and a little bit of coffee. Full body, soft on the palate. Lasting chocolatey finish. I guess Mr Churchill could’ve had some fine hours with this one. 120818
